What More Could You Wish For

business strategyThere is a successful television campaign for Tm Tam chocolate biscuits.

It started a few years and what you wish for.

Naturally it was to have a never-ending supply of Tim Tams to eat.

In many ways isn’t that want you want.

Being in continuous demand by your current customers.

Paying ones of course.

After all, if you go to the trouble of attracting them to your business, why would you want them to give them a chance of waving good-bye?

Especially if the relationship has started well.

For those of you who have a product or service that needs to be bought on a regular basis then you have one base covered.

And you can concentrate on nurturing the relationship to make sure they continue being a customer.

However if you have a product or service that is either a one off or needed for only a limited time you might think you can’t find a way around it.

As they say there is always a solution, even if it is not obvious.

Look Inside

One way is to uncover their longer term needs and adapt your products or services and turn them from being one off purchases.

This may take a little creativity and flexibility.

Look Outside

This means looking at other products or services outside of your market to get inspiration.

Think of those businesses that provide maintenance that have to be done on a regular basis.

Have some fun at look at very different markets that have regular customers and see if you can adapt what you offer the way you offer it.

Look At Market Trends

Market dynamics change, just look at technology now and a couple of years ago.

By keeping track of the market trends and changes can highlight area that could be opportunities for your business.

The key is if you have regular customer buying from you it can stop that roller coaster ride of feast or famine.

BTW have you ever done a Tim Tam Slam?

As always, would like you to share your thoughts on this? What do you do to ensure your current customers keep buying from you?
